In this key strategic role, you will be working on PayPal's Global Consumer Product and Engineering Operations team driving the business unit (BU) workforce planning strategy, enabling us to deliver on our operational objectives, as well as working alongside your BU peers and PayPal’s central workforce planning department to build, manage and provide feedback on our future state workforce designs and roadmaps. You will help shape, implement, and manage our full-time employee, contingent workforce, recent college graduates and internship candidates operating plans. This is an ideal role for someone interested in developing their business expertise and operations exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • Report into a team whose broader focus is redesigning operational activities, with your primary focus on workforce strategy and planning, and collectively identifying opportunities for simplification, quality and productivity improvement.
  • Generate analysis and reporting and provide insights and recommended actions necessary to enable continuous improvement.
  • Work with Operations and Finance leads on program budgets and forecasting, enabling judicious management of OpEx dollars to ROI.

Key Competencies:

  • Structured thinker with a problem-solver mindset: you must show a passion for and demonstrated success at making things work for internal customers.

  • Experience in redesigning and managing processes from the ground up.

  • High energy, strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results.
  •  Ability to work well with others, and across your diverse stakeholder groups, primarily Finance, Operations and People teams but also includes engineering and product management organizations.
  • Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation/drive - must thrive in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience and proven track record in program management, operations or planning, preferably in software industry.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to move quickly from insight to action.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
