The University Experience Manager is a key member of the University Programs leadership team, responsible for end-to-end design, development and delivery of PayPal early career candidate and employee experiences/programs. The University Experience Manager reports into the Global Director of University Programs and functions as a member of the University Leadership Team. You will be responsible for comprehensive design, development and delivery of the intern and recent college graduate (RCG) experiences, and manage the University Experience team. You will also directly manage the PayPal intern experience program. In this role you will collaborate across PayPal as well as leverage external networks and knowledge sources to validate and expand strategies and designs. You will be accountable for overall University Experience strategy, design, and execution; manage overall University Experience budget; build strong cross-functional partnerships; manage team for optimal growth and performance; establish and manage metrics, measurements and outcomes; partner with University Recruiting and University Relations teams to ensure aligned and effective plans and solutions; engage deeply with interns and early career employees, and enable experiences and opportunities that result in meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Member of University Programs Leadership Team
  • Manage University Experience team
  • Manage design, development, planning and delivery of end-to-end candidate and employee experience from “Offer Accept” through the first year of early career employees
  • Directly manage the intern experience program
  • Manage University Experience budget as well as the various components that comprise the overall budget (by program)
  • Collaborate with team members within People organization and across PayPal to co-create and jointly deliver experiences in support of programs
  • Collaborate extensively with University Programs leadership team to ensure alignment in strategy, approach and execution
  • Manage data and metrics to ensure data driven solutions
  • Collaborate with global project peers to plan and deliver appropriate programs in various geographic regions
  • Deep understanding and awareness of external benchmarks to validate our approach and plans, and to inform areas for growth and enhancements
  • Support University Programs activities in PayPal locations and college campuses,
  • Actively manage and track multiple projects and timelines across multiple channels and prioritize work and projects across overall set PayPal/HR priorities and focus areas
  • Support Fun. Help lead activities and events that increase fun within and beyond University Programs. The team that works hard and have fun together can accomplish amazing things together. Job Requirements:

  • Extremely strong people management experience and skills
  • Systems thinker who can view the bigger picture in totality and can break down into appropriate subsets to manage and deliver strong outcomes
  • Experience designing and building learning and development programs; strong hands-on experience in designing and developing learning maps
  • Proven product / program management experience to results in effective delivery of outcomes and results; you get to prove over and over that you get the right outcomes delivered consistently
  • Organized and methodical in thinking and execution
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Effectively understanding key program goals to drive strategic and concrete outcomes
  • Effectively solve problems systematically, from diagnosis to construction of options for resolution
  • Effectively collaborate across University Programs, PayPal and external communities to build credibility and trust with partners to co-own and co-deliver important outcomes for PayPal
  • Effectively plan and manage budgets
  • Effective data analytics and reporting experience
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to drill down to very detailed levels to substantiate high level objectives and goals
  • You are known to dots your I’s and cross your t’s
  • You love working with the University community – students, colleges, associations, hiring managers and external partners who are changing the way college students chart out their career paths
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally

Education: Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in related field highly preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of related experience, particularly in a complex organizational environment
