The global sales training organization is a key function in the global sales enablement team, which reports to the global sales operations organization. The organization is responsible for designing, building and executing a sales training plan focused on enabling our PayPal sales teams, across all market segments, for individual contributors and sales management.

The Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting training strategies and delivery to enhance employee performance across several sales and servicing roles. This will include working closely with internal support functions and fellow trainers globally to keep abreast of product and process changes and impacts to the end user. Additional key responsibilities include working on cross functional improvement projects, collaboration with global training team, training needs identification, quality assessment, coaching, and project management.

  • Establishes the strategic training, education and Quality Control direction to meet the overall company objectives 
  • Provide mentoring, training and coaching to sales staff to ensure sales goals are achieved.
  • Designing and writing content for training solutions that focus on how to position and sell products.
  • Designing and writing content for training solutions that focus on proper use of systems and processes required for performing the job functions.
  • Evaluate the current training needs of the sales organization to determine the need for additional programs
  • Develop and revamp training tools for new products and systems that are implemented.
  • Facilitate training and adjust course content to the specific needs and previous experience of the new hires
  • Ensure that a structured education development plan is in place for all employees within the center.
  • Ensure that current bench strength is identified and there are programs in place to develop them.
  • Conduct follow-up studies of completed training courses to evaluate and measure results; modify programs as needed.
  • Develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in the on-boarding process.
  • Ensure that development plans are being utilized and delivered properly.
  • Monitor both inbound or outbound sales calls
  • Project management as needed.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years related experience in leading training programs. 

Sales training experience a major advantage 

Financial Services/Payment Process/Insurance experience preferred

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Especially PowerPoint)


BS/BA degree in related field required
