The EMEA Testing Leader will be part of the PayPal First Line of Defense, Center of Excellence, Control Testing team and will be based in Dublin or Dundalk. This person will play a pivotal role in standing up a control testing programs to track and monitor effectiveness of controls in place to mitigate risk across the global PayPal enterprise This candidate should have proven experience in risk and compliance control needs and common practices for performing control testing in a financial services setting. Experience with financial services regulations is recommended.

This role will engage with and build a network across all PayPal functional areas.  This person will work in partnership with PayPal Second and Third Lines of defense to ensure the FLOD Control Testing program works in coordination with risk and compliance efforts of these other key areas of our PayPal Risk and Compliance infrastructure.

The ideal candidate with be a self-starter, motivated and passionate about mitigating risk. This individual will need to lead a team to support development and execution of the test program. As such, this person will need to have a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to motivate team members. The ideal candidate will also need to have a track record of completing projects and reaching goals as well as the ability to develop relationships across all levels of the organization.


  • Establish specific testing initiatives based on risk, leveraging available resources and with the of functional area business owners and compliance stakeholders.
  • Identify, articulate and track testing trends within and across control testing
  • Ability to communicate at a strategic level about control testing engagements as well as at a tactical level and across all levels of the business.
  • Leverage existing applications, platforms and methodologies where appropriates to expedite stand up of control testing, while leveraging past experience and work knowledge to propose new approaches when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the FLOD COE and multiple contributing functions across the enterprise to achieve success against business plan & goals.
  • Set forth plan for testing team, regularly calibrate, track and monitor progress and results and evolve program as the program matures.
  • Ensure proper communication of testing plans and results with Functional area stakeholders and COE stakeholders.

  • 5+ years’ in risk and compliance environment preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Experience as a people manager
  • Broad experience working in corporate environment
  • Experience working for global company preferred
  • Experience with Compliance and Risk control methodologies
  • Strong Business acumen and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create structure and drive progress in ambiguous environment
  • Superb communications skills – comfort in interacting with executive leadership.
  • Ability to craft compelling messaging to communicate with all levels of the organization on progress, issues and issue resolution.
  • Ability to manage team residing in multiple locations, multiple time zones
  • Must have a passion for continual improvement of work product


Must speak fluent English



Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 5+ years’ experience in related field
