The Technical New Hire (TNT) program is critically important to the success of all new technologists hired on at PayPal. The TNT Program Manager will have a passion for on-boarding and new hires.

The TNT Program Manager will have a passion for on-boarding and new hires. The ideal candidate will be familiar with engineering principles, best practices for technical new hire on-boarding and training.  They will have great ability to work with leaders on various levels to create a true sense of community around this program globally.

  • Create and maintain momentum across teams to have active, steady participation from all business units. 
  • Will be instrumental in building connection among each technical new hire cohort.
  • Partner to finish designing a program that is capable of iterating and growing to scale globally.
  • Seek ways to establish and maintain a program that is diverse, inclusive, accessible and delivers strong business results. 
  • Run classes and occasional events that are high-caliber, highly sought after, and energy giving. S/he will be adept at gathering feedback and data, creating executive readouts, and keeping stakeholders informed and tied into the program.
  • Model the ideal PayPal new hire and be driven, passionate, hard-working, engaging, dedicated and “all in” to the program.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background, familiarity with engineering or architectural practices and standards, program or project management experience in a technical environment, ability to address and influence senior leaders, eagerness to learn, and a passion for growth.

  • Partner with senior manager, other stakeholders, and senior leaders to complete the design, program structure and backbone (10%)
  • Run the biweekly program in San Jose in such a manner that builds internal connection and sustained engagement (35%)
  • Partner to design and deliver a scalable, global iteration of the program in San Jose (25%)
  • Leverage partnerships with BU leaders to create and assign mini business challenges or projects (10%)
  • Supervise indirectly additional TNT staff such as technical trainers, consultants, etc. (10%)
  • Gather feedback, iterate on program design, reporting (10%)
