Systems Security Engineer position in SAEO Engineering team, you will be part of systems and application security focused team in a fast-paced environment. The team supports customers in the Cybersecurity Defense Center (CDC), various security discipline focused teams in SAEO org, partner with InfoSec teams to carry pre and post M&A due diligence and collaborate with stakeholders across Technology Platform Experience teams. The ideal candidate has both infrastructure security expertise and systems engineering experience. Understands that building large systems is a set of continual trade-offs and work to make those decisions explicit throughout the process. Knowledge of security and can identify potential risks in designs, configuration, code, or in deployed systems. Experience in providing security guidance to both technical and non-technical teams. Recognize the importance of building security solutions that scale both technically and organizationally and adapt to changing business requirements. They enjoy advocating security by writing, giving talks, or hosting educational sessions. This position requires hands-on advance level competence in Linux Administration, OpenStack Hypervisors, Networking/Micro-Segmentation, IDS monitoring, Incident Detection, Information Assurance, Computer Security Best Practices, Systems Hardening, Vulnerability Management, Antivirus, Firewalls, Log Management and Analyzing TCP/IP Network Traffic.


  • Successful candidates will have proven work experience as a Systems Security Engineer.
  • Experience in building, deploying and maintaining security systems in large scale multi region on-prem and cloud environment.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security.
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and system, security, and network monitoring tools.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
  • Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privilege Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), etc.,
