The Systems Administrator will work in the Enterprise Applications team in collaboration with Engineering (Platform, Mobile, QA, Tooling), Product, Finance and Customer Ops teams to set up and maintain internal development tools and other Enterprise Applications. You will focus on the administration, maintenance and vendor management of software that facilitate development, version control, error handling, tracking, code and review coverage, and metrics for test and development. Xoom, A PayPal Service, is revolutionizing the global digital money services market by providing people with an easy, convenient and cost-effective means of sending money worldwide. We offer a secure, fast and inexpensive means of sending money, paying bills and topping up prepaid services across multiple digital platforms to both online and offline recipients. The mission of the Xoom Enterprise Applications team is to provide support and solutions that are responsive to our clients' needs in an innovative, professional, and quality service manner. We accomplish this by utilizing and optimizing the same tools that we support and in achieving our objective of having satisfied clients. We support tools that power and enable Customer Support, Marketing, Engineering, Production Operations, Risk and Financial operation teams to achieve their goals and objectives. We strive for best in class incident response times and SLAs with all the tools we support.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Linux environments a must
  • Linux command line troubleshoot skills a must
  • Experience with Docker
  • Able to install, integrate, tune large installations
  • Strong Scripting skills (Linux and/or Windows) Bash, Python, Ruby or Powershell
  • Experience with Artifact management solutions: JFrog Artifactory (a plus), Sonotype Nexus (a plus) etc
  • Administer and maintain our universal component analysis solution (JFrog Xray) a plus
  • Experience in configuring and supporting CI/CD on a wide range of DevOps tools, like Puppet, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, SonarQube, etc.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English
  • Work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Self motivated; able to work with only moderate supervision
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database usage
  • Knowledge of Jenkins a plus
  • Experience with key monitoring systems (Nagios, cacti, etc.) a plus
  • Understanding of application clustering technologies a plus
