Sr. Technical Product Manager – EDS Marketing

In this role you will get an opportunity to define, orchestrate and enable critical Marketing data initiatives in support of multiple Marketing Business units across regions at PayPal on behalf of Enterprise Data Services (EDS). You will work with Marketing leaders to understand and define business use cases and opportunities in areas such as Campaign Operations, Marketing Analytics, Database Marketing, Digital Marketing, Third party data integration etc. The role will require you to understand what the key business drivers are, identify opportunities with potential to leverage internal, external, and innovative data/analytics, iterate quickly through proof-of-concepts to define the solutions, and work with delivery teams to deliver platform-based solutions that delight users. This role offers regular visibility to senior management and the opportunity to materially impact PayPal’s business.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

•    Help set vision, prioritization, and roadmap for EDS Marketing at PayPal
•    Evaluate potential business use cases 
•    Creatively structure data and analytics solutions leveraging latest and innovative data sources and visualization techniques
•    Work with vendors and other experts in the fields to bring in best-in-class data transformation techniques
•    Build consensus among cross-functional partners and influence decision making within executive-level audiences
•    Work with Agile Delivery teams to communicate vision and deliver timely solutions of the highest quality


  • 10+ years of relevant strategy, product management and analytics experience
  • Experience in database development (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata), design, and analytics is a plus
  • Superior analytic capabilities with strong insight and understanding of how a business operates.
  • Talent for synthesizing complex ideas and communicating them in a way others can easily understand (both verbally and via email/PowerPoint).
  • Versatile. Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities.
  • Experience in high growth / payment industry desired, but not required
  • Highly accountable, with ability to independently lead and coordinate complex projects across multiple subject areas.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity to anticipate business needs.
  • Exposure to Agile methodology and tools such as Rally is a plus
  • Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Hbase is a plus
