The Sr Systems Analyst will be based out of PayPal Scottsdale office who is passionate about solving problems and creating experiences that are elegant and effective. The Product Owner will own, drive and create world-class customer experiences throughout the lifecycle. With the ability to cut through the noise and focus on what really matters, you will serve as a product owner within an agile scrum team to prioritize the backlog and work on the most impactful features. The nature of role is strategic, analytical and highly collaborative, working with team members across the World and as a liaison for Global projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in high performance, multi-function team of talented and passionate professionals, who are results driven to take the business forward and demonstrate superior leadership in line with the PayPal values
  • Understand PayPal’s strategic and competitive position to deliver products that are recognized best in class
  • Drive product development to build end to end solutions with a team of world-class engineers and designers. 
  • Serve as a product owner within an agile scrum team, write user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and work closely with engineers on the team
  • Develop a product roadmap and work with cross-functional teams (business, program managers, product, development, UX, analytics) to execute on the roadmap
  • Define detailed product requirements and use rapid cycles to iterate and learn
  • Build trust and effective relationships with peers/cross-functional teams and provide leadership across the product, engineering and business teams.
  • Highly detailed with a systematic approach, sense of responsibility and strong, positive customer focus.  Must be results focused and highly energetic to drive the defined team and organizational goals
  • Establish a consistent, project management framework and development processes to deliver high quality software, in rapid iterations, for business partners in multiple geographies
  • Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
  • Effectively lead teams by providing appropriate direction and developmental feedback, conducting annual reviews
  • Eat, sleep, and breathe services. Experienced in balancing production platform stability, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt across a broad landscape of technologies.

Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent from a leading university and preferably with a Masters or MBA
  • 6+ years of post-college working experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst in Engineering, or Data-Mining organization
  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology and understand technology. Detail-oriented, unfazed by technical detail, committed to flawless execution
  • Strong conceptual and creative problem-solving skills; ability to work with considerable ambiguity; ability to learn new and complex concepts quickly
  • Strong SQL skills mandatory
  • A great communicator, strong project management skills, and superb attention to details
  • Experience working in teams in a global complex matrix organization involving multiple reporting lines.
