The Product & Technology China team is looking for a strong payment operation engineer to join the team in PayPal China. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and self-motivated individual with a strong passion and experience in payment operation. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of software development and product management.

Requirements:

  • Payment processors, CUP/NUCC clearing, and settlement related experience
  • Experience utilizing the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) 
  • Monitoring and Metrics in Prometheus, Grafana and integrations with Slack/PagerDuty
  • Help to design, implement, maintain, and utilize systems for our payment system with a strong focus on monitoring, alerting, forecasting, troubleshooting, and automated mitigation
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries
  • Logging infrastructure 
  • Contributing to code in GitLab
  • Rich experience in software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Backend development experience is a plus
  • Fluent communication in writing and speaking in English
  • 3+ years in fin-tech experience or a related field preferred
