The global sales training organization is a key function in the global sales readiness team, which reports to the global sales operation’s organization. The organization is responsible for designing, building and executing a sales training plan focused on enabling our PayPal sales teams, across all market segments, for individual contributors and sales management. The Sr. Sales Readiness Professional is an exciting new role within PayPal. This role will be responsible for supporting training/ enablement strategies to enhance employee performance across several sales and servicing roles. This will include working closely with internal support functions and fellow trainers globally to keep abreast of product and process changes and impacts to the end user. This role will have the opportunity to lead and participate in multiple projects that will support our sales and service managers and professionals. Additional key responsibilities include working on cross functional improvement projects, collaboration with global training team, project management, training needs identification, training creation, quality assessment, and sales coaching.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities Include

  • Uses professional concepts, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues significant to the operations of the business. Is expected to have the knowledge and confidence to evaluate possible courses of conduct and propose solutions to moderately difficult business or operational challenges in the normal course of work.
  • Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on matters of significance to the business.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key stakeholders & functional business partners to ensure tight alignment on training and enablement requirements associated to development, learning & product priorities and initiatives.
  • Partners with the team to ensure seamless scheduling and management of all trainings. 
  • Collaborate with all learning and enablement teams within PayPal to drive alignment and strategic partnerships.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training content. Makes recommendations, updates and modifies training as needed.
  • Responsible for occasionally delivering a range of training to a diverse audience: New Hire, Sales Methodology, Sales Product, Process & Systems, Soft Skills and ad hoc training deliverables.
  • Responsible for quickly cultivating an understanding of company-wide initiatives, department and PayPal’s industry and the competitive landscape. We need you to be seen as an expert!

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • 5+ years experience in Sales and/or Sales Management would be a plus.
  • Sales enablement, training strategy and execution experience.
  • Proven track record of collaboration with multiple stake holders.
  • Strong experience managing projects including communication and holding project team accountable to deliverables.
  • 3+ years experience delivering Sales Training.
  • Proven experience delivering trainings to groups of various size.
  • Ability to engage learners and foster participation.
  • Experience with blended training delivery models (ILT, Virtual etc.).
  • Experience in curriculum development and adult, corporate learning.
  • Must be creative, professional, articulate, organized, resourceful, high energy, detail and deadline oriented with the ability to interface with PayPal employees at all levels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Successful experience within a sales atmosphere a must.
  • Experience in training and coaching sales professionals strong desired.
  • Financial Services/Call Center/Sales experience a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally approximately 30%


  • BS/BA degree in related field required.
