As a Product Manager within the Payments Intelligence team, you will be responsible for creating and launching world class payment performance management products for 25M+ merchants across the globe. Responsibilities:

  • Product Owner for the Payment Intelligence team which is responsible to build products that enable merchants to increase their payments performance
  • Own, maintain and evolve data-driven tools and services to improve payments conversion, lower payment fees, improve approval rate, provide shopper analytics.
  • Prioritize and maintain product roadmap, partnering with sales and professional services organizations  
  • Bring an “outside-in” perspective on leveraging data to create high impact experiences
  • Define metrics & KPIs to demonstrate success and progress
  • Understand the complexities of the payment landscape and identify areas where PayPal can continue to differentiate as it relates to your product area.
  • Provide the right level of support and direction to keep the engineering team working efficiently and aligned with the overall product strategy.
  • Participate in regular cadences (stand up’s, retrospective, planning meeting) and be engaged with the team throughout the product life cycle.
  • Engage with teams (Sales, Marketing, Professional Services) across PayPal to help Pilot and Launch enhancements / improvements with a goal towards improving adoption.

Requirements:

  • Experience building data driven products. Have a point of view and a perception on what makes a good ‘data driven’ developer experience.
  • Familiarity with payment gateways, payment costs and optimization tactics, payments processing and settlement
  • Not a data engineer but comfortable enough to use and demo the Data Product being built.
  • Prior experience building KPIs/Metrics for nascent products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience (developers, product managers and senior business leaders).
  • Have a strong degree of technical fluency that allows you to communicate with and understand your target audience (developers), translating their needs into clear product strategy.
