Xoom's Product Team is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager to drive the Analytics Team roadmap. In this role, you will be responsible for defining requirements and processes of our Data Science and Analytics projects. You will work closely with business unit counterparts, product functional teams, engineering, user experience and global cross-functional stakeholders to develop requirements and see these projects through to development completion. Through your work, you will enable Xoom to rapidly build, iterate and refine customer experiences via web and mobile applications to shape the future of cross-border payments and money remittances.

  • Manage and prioritize the Data Science team's roadmap. Ensure cross-functional product team execution with Engineering Sr. Managers, drive decisions across teams and escalate appropriately to meet project milestones and deliver the roadmap.
  • Prioritize the resources of the team, based on the understanding of other teams' challenges and opportunities.
  • Define the requirements for our web, mobile apps and platform teams, writing clear, detailed and thorough specifications for accurately tracking complex features, functionality and products.
  • Liaise other Product Managers, Customer Operations, Compliance, Business Analytics, Marketing and other functional areas to gather requirements on tracking needs for new or existing features.
  • Maintain and define new features for existing and new analytics applications, leading the instrumentation to monitor impact of product features and key metrics.
  • Ensure the data collected by our web, mobile apps and platform teams is arriving to the tools that will serve our data analysts (Segment, Mixpanel, Tableau...).
  • Help manage and prioritize other teams' roadmap, ensuring cross-team synchronization by sharing the product vision across different teams.
  • Troubleshoot product metric issues, ensuring the proper teams are engaged when these arise and answer data questions being the analytics product expert.
  • Guide the work of the relevant delivery teams, partnering with our QA team to ensure all of our features are being tracked properly before they are delivered to our customers.

 Job Requirements

  • Ability to analyze, solve for and communicate complex business factors, product design and technical issues effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to converse with technical and non-technical personnel fluently; including the ability to articulate progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner to all levels and functions of Xoom’s organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, handling multiple priorities concurrently with minimal guidance is a must.
  • Strong ability to work well in a team environment, within all levels of an organization.
  • Superb attention to detail and the ability to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • 3 years of Technical Product Management expertise, working closely with Engineers and Business Stakeholders, ideally spread across multiple offices and geographies.
  • 4 years of Product expertise in servicing, developing or integrating Remittance and / or Financial Services software applications.
  • 2 years of Product Development expertise in overseeing the development of monitoring and tracking of both new features and existing ones.
  • Experience in data science and/or analytics is ideal.
  • Experience in online bill payments, e-Commerce or Online Banking is preferred.
  • Understanding of Agile development and previous experience with being a product owner for a scrum team is desired.
