In this role, you will work to understand the current PayPal technology landscape and seek out the tools, technologies and partners we need to make our goals and stay ahead of our competition so we may reach our consumer base in the right way, at the right place and at the right time. You will have a direct impact on design, content, delivery engine, processes and channels through the personalization, plus CRM tool suites across all technology stacks for a delightful highly-relevant customer experience/s. You will work closely with several domains across various internal organizations including product, business, engineering, architecture and marketing to align on goals, define requirements, evangelize feature sets across multi-stakeholders and commercialize their products. Reporting into the Director of Consumer Experiences and as a senior member of the product team, you will start by providing leadership in our digital delivery platform – ensuring our mobile and web visitors, prospects, customers, and trailblazers can connect with PayPal content and capabilities in a seamless and engaging manner.

Responsibilities Include

  • Break down the product requirements into an actionable backlog of user stories.
  • Champion each product feature end to end.
  • Manage and prioritize key deliverables, dependencies, and milestones by collaborate with engineering, business, go-to-market teams, legal, privacy, third parties, etc.
  • Engage development and UX teams to drive sprints and shape features that may include POC (documenting user journey, constraints along the way).
  • Focus on delivering a value and deliberate prioritization.
  • Track industry trends and competitors to inform product decisions and strategy.
  • Establish and analyze product metrics, integrate research, usability studies, and market analysis into product requirements to improve the overall user experience.
  • Distill noise, clear bottlenecks, and understand inter-dependencies that define priorities and schedules.
  • Communicate product plans, benefits, and results to all audiences — internal and external teams.
  • Monitor and measure success metrics after launch and incorporate feedback into product development process.
  • Contribute to the vision and roadmap of our overall products and services.
  • Adherence to Product Management processes related to change control, documentation etc.
  • In-depth experience in at least one of the following areas - UI/UX heavy websites/apps, API integrations, infrastructure, data (machine learning) product.

Experience Requirements

  • 12+ years of product management or product design experience.
  • College degree in EE, CS, or similar technical background.
  • API development preferred.
  • Background in any of the following is required - mobile platform, cloud services, application software.
  • Knowledge on iOS and Android development.
  • Experience building, adopting and maintaining REST APIs.
  • Experience with/knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, JSON.
  • Experience in transferring monolithic software to Service Oriented Architecture.
