PayPal's Payments Product Enablement team is looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager for its Global Bank team. The Senior Product Manager (SPM) will be responsible to lead problem & solution discovery across various geographies to devise scalable bank payments solutions compliant with the licenses held by PayPal in different markets. The SPM will be required to closely partner with the policy, legal, sales, engineering, and other cross-functional product teams to devise customer centric and compliant bank products. The SPM will be required to liaise with external bank partners and processors. The SPM will be responsible for defining KPIs for new products and monitor the KPIs of the bank platform on a regular basis. The SPM will require liaising with the different operations team to ensure that new products are operationalized appropriately. This role will also involve certain run-the-business activities to ensure existing products are performing optimally to service customers.

General Responsibilities

  • Liaise with policy, legal, sales and other cross-functional teams to understand the problem & help with solution discovery from a bank payment solution standpoint.
  • Define product requirements (MVP & beyond), coordinate and lead successful execution of bank payments products while keeping processing cost and product quality in mind.
  • Engage closely with the payments engineering team, applying agile methodology, to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Manage the platform relationship with external partners and bank processors.
  • Work cross-functionally with other product managers, engineering, Customer Support, Payment Operations, other internal teams and external partners to resolve complex live issues and to enhance the customer experience.
  • Proactively monitor product KPIs & identifying gaps/solutions. Engage in problem solving with the analytics teams to determine trends and root causes. Leading and rallying teams to execute until problem is solved.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of related professional experience or Master’s Degree(MBA preferred) and 6+ years of experience.
  • Skilled at working with cross functional groups and matrix organizations in multiple geographies
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in process improvement through the use of data driven analysis.
  • Proven ability to deliver on a new product challenge quickly and valuably. 
  • Thrives in an environment of continuous change and complexity.
  • "Can do” attitude, team player, fun, energetic personality, works well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage and maximize the value of partner relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively.
  • The candidate should be fluent in English with additional language skills(Mandarin speaking preferred) a strong plus. 
  • The position will require approximately 10% international travel.
