Core Platform Services (CPS) is the team in the CTO organization responsible for designing, developing and delivering key, common capabilities as services (SaaS). Currently we offer application data services (such as Caching), monitoring and logging, messaging and streaming, user behavior tracking and experimentation, and a wide array of business process services such as notifications, media, crawler, and search. We are looking for an experienced product manager to join our Monitoring Product Management Team as we work to transform PayPal’s monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about Monitoring, excited about constantly interacting with his/her customer base and inspired by the opportunity to build PayPal’s platforms.

The PM’s main responsibility is to define and drive PayPal’s monitoring strategy and solution. The product manager needs to understand and represent the internal customers’ current and expected needs, and make sure they get reflected in all of the organization’s activities - from planning to execution and roll-out – to ensure their success.

The PM will:

  • Define the strategy, goals and roadmap to transform PayPal’s Monitoring solution.
  • Define KPIs for product success in meeting and exceeding and customers’ expectations
  • Constantly interact with customers to validate and socialize the Monitoring platforms capabilities and roadmap
  • Develop and present business cases for investment in the Monitoring Platform
  • Prioritize the resources of the team, based on the understanding of customers’ challenges and opportunities.
  • Be responsible for the plans to execute on approved business cases
  • Guide the work of the relevant delivery teams
  • Track the progress to meet the defined KPIs
  • Develop the internal go-to-market materials, training and roll-out initiatives, and closely monitor the success of these initiatives

Job Requirements:


•         Bachelor Science degree.

•         3 - 5 years’ experience as a technical product manager of software platform technologies

•         Proven record of product launch/delivery

•         Excellent English written and oral communication skills

Preferred / Plus:

•         Master of Science or MBA degree.

  • Proven record in managing a platform service with emphasis on availability, performance and scale
  • Proven record in Monitoring products or services

•         Experience in large organizations including managing dependencies across business units.
