Seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join Braintree's financial planning and analysis org and cover a multitude of activities including: deal reviews, financial modeling, and reporting.

PayPal is a leading payments facilitator that enables more than 200 million account holders to transact in over 200 markets around the world.  Braintree represents one of the most exciting areas of the company, providing cutting edge payment processing capabilities to some of the fastest growing and most successful merchants including Uber, AirBnB, Yelp, and Casper.

The Braintree Finance team is looking for intellectually curious finance professional with strong business acumen to help facilitate Braintree’s continued rapid growth.  The Financial Analyst will be responsible for contributing towards a multitude of financial pricing and analytical activities. The individual will be expected to create and manage pricing models, and provide financial insights to key business stakeholders.

Partnering with the Braintree Sales team to make educated pricing decisions and supporting the growth of the business.The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems, and quickly arrive at recommendations that drive strategic priorities. Providing quantitative and qualitative analysis on new business opportunities and upsells. Improving business cases and/or build new models to support new initiatives  Ideal candidates will have a mix of experience that includes financial modeling, and analytics.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Deal Review Pipeline: Partnering with the Business to make educated pricing decisions and supporting the growth of the business , providing quantitative and qualitative analysis on new business opportunities and upsells

  • Financial modeling: develop financial models that provide insight into the impact of various actions on Braintree’s P&L

  • Analytics: report and explain underlying drivers of monthly business performance

  • Subject matter expert: serve as subject matter expert and primary point of contact for financial matters related to Braintree for stakeholders across the PayPal organization

  • Ad hoc projects: Supporting strategic pricing projects globally

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of combined experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investment banking, and / or management consulting roles

  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and business acumen

  • BA / BS in finance, economics, or other quantitative field; MBA or equivalent type of certification a plus

  • Experience building and managing complex financial models a plus

  • Highly analytical, flexible, problem-solver, with a positive, creative and innovative mindset

  • Strong work ethic, ability to juggle multiple priorities, as well as thrive in a fast-paced environment is a must

  • Previous pricing experience is a plus
