PayPal Payments team is looking for an experienced Product manager for its Card Acquiring payments platform. In this role, you will work with the team responsible for building, deploying and maintaining the PayPal’s card payment platform for North America region. The platform powers payments and experiences for PayPal's ecosystem of Consumers, Merchants and Developers. Product Managers partner with the Regional Product Lead to contribute to development of platform vision, strategy and roadmap and are responsible for timely execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in the execution of the overall payment strategy for the North America region.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Product Lead in discussions with technical architects, engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure that the product solution delivers against business objectives.
  • Must clearly communicate the product/platform requirements and customer value to stakeholders, especially the delivery team.
  • Tracks platform KPI’s and works to resolve issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring customer stories are clearly articulated, customer problem statements are defined, concepts are prototyped and tested.
  • Maintains a backlog that reflects the priority of work, ensures user stories are provided for development and helps resolves product questions.
  • Participate in iteration, release and roadmap planning.
  • Participate fully in product demonstrations, retrospectives, product councils and other agile forums of communication.
  • Must predefine acceptance criteria and accept completed development work.
  • Effectively collaborates with the delivery team, extended stakeholders and management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of Product Management or design experience with a focus on internet products and technologies.
  • Product management experience in payment industry.

  • Familiarity with card acquiring technicalities preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business initiatives.

  • Effectively communicates with stakeholders across wide variety of domains and skills.
  • High energy, strong work ethic, well organized and disciplined execution skills.
  • Understanding of card network, emerging payments and building new technologies is desirable.
  • Prior experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Core skill set requirements are as follows: detail-oriented, analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, product ownership/management, project management and execution, communication (written, verbal, and oral) with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
