The Team – Global Marketing Operations Transformation & Enablement:

Historically, all Regions (NA, EMEA, APAC) have run separate Marketing functions and have had different operational set ups. As part of the Global Marketing transformation program, all regional teams have been consolidated in to one and the new Global Marketing Operations Transformation & Enablement team has been established. The Global Marketing Ops Transformation & Enablement team are tasked with designing and driving this bold new operating model, establishing a blueprint for the future where people, process and technology come together as one. Creating new ways of working that elevate our ability to deliver our marketing plans and innovate continuously. The team are very well regarded, highly skilled and innovative with over 220 full time and agency support staff building our organization structure, process and technology for change. For you to succeed on this team it is important for you to be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, to continuously learn and have a curious mindset, to understand and help drive a DevOps Culture, to be proactive, collaborative and to have a sense of humour (optional).

Travel: Main destinations will include San Jose (Global HQ) & Global Hubs: New York, London, Singapore.

What will your week look like?

All Marketing campaigns and processes need to be compliant and high quality. But failure is a reality of life and you are anticipating and reacting to where failure happens. You are part of a team who serve as the point of contact for root cause analysis of failure and compliance audit requests. You are managing all required compliance activities required from the Business, keeping close relationships with relevant teams and stakeholders inside (FLOD, Legal) and outside (regulatory contacts) PayPal. 

Skills to be used: Compliance process (GDPR and other global compliance requirements) and QA process knowledge. 

What will your quarter look like?

Together with your autonomous team you are automating the steps in QA and Audits. You understand QA and Compliance are closely related and complete the definition of quality, setting standards and guidelines. Your technical skillset brings the possibility of technology and automation so that you can speed up Marketing delivery while guarantying quality. You are building the correct meta data framework in the end to end digital process to enable always on dashboards for quality and compliance audits. As required, you are partnering with Digital Process Design Devs to optimize the process for quality while keeping it lean.

Skills to be used: Technology and automation mindset.

What will your year look like?

You are consolidating the Audits required across the year and making them more and more visible and automated. You are running chaos monkey exercises in partnership with Digital Process Design Devs to ensure failure will not result in reduced quality and commercial risk. You are testing and ensuring edge cases can be managed within a critical time, without overburdening the compliance process and requiring time from other Marketing stakeholders. 

Skills to be used: Data crunching of digital process to understand “WHY”. Product Mindset.

Education & Experience required:

  • Marketing, Management, Legal/Compliance related Degree with Technology certifications
  • Multiple year experience in Compliance & application of Digital Process Engineering experience. 
  • Experience working in agile team environments.
