The Security Technology team resides within the PayPal Global Safety and Security Department and helps maintain the physical security systems that protect the company’s people, brand, facilities, and assets. To accomplish this mission, we are seeking an experienced Physical Security Technology Senior Manager based at our Scottsdale office. This role will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our existing and future physical security systems platform globally, documenting system issues and new systems procedures and managing all aspects of our global integrator network. Qualified candidates must be able to interact positively with stakeholders across the full spectrum of internal PayPal business unit owners as well as a diverse third-party integrator network, and demonstrate ownership of all deliverables. Ability to build and maintain rapport, understand and adapt to nuances of different internal and customers, external partners and adapt rapidly to shifting priorities is critical.

The Physical Security Technology Senior Manager will be tasked with supporting the management of the company’s physical security systems including but not limited to;

  • System Management
    • Executing a documented performance and maintenance program for the company’s physical security devices globally
    • Maintaining and monitoring of corporate security infrastructure (servers, storage, applications, network)
    • Ensuring uptime requirements are met by networked security infrastructure
    • Working quickly to address and remedy unanticipated faults within the Security Technology portfolio and ensure minimal system downtime
    • Minimizing downtime by leading the incident management process using internal case tracking system; providing clear communication to internal and external customers.
    • Proactively preparing for planned outages and ensuring adequate coverage during those times
    • Reaching out to appropriate security integrators to schedule on site service tickets for failed and problematic devices and driving those repairs to completion.
    • Serving as a subject matter expert on our current security device technology and being able to respond to system related issues quickly and with minimal supervision
    • Creating and maintaining internal documentation such as dashboards and system reports to measure current system health in real time.
    • Communicate on statuses for all end-user related service support and new request items. 
  • Relationship Management
    • Manage and maintain customer delight and satisfaction through timely management and execution of items with a strong focus on user experience.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, external system integrator teams and internal technology groups to coordinate issue resolution efforts.
    • Actively engage InfoSec, OCIO, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with PYPL internal requirements.
    • Develop and foster strong relationships with the PayPal Real-Estate and Security Operations teams.
    • Develop and foster strong strategic partnerships with key systems integrators and suppliers.
  • Systems enhancements and integrations
  • Lead projects related to improving operational elements of physical access security systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis for issues within security plans, processes, and systems. 
  • Oversee the effective execution of all security systems activities to include new builds, enhancements and break-fix.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field of study
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various teams with competing priorities to reach a desired outcome
  • Proven ability to develop and manage positive relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Proven track record delivering great user experiences through security technology
  • Lenel Certified Professional (LCP)
  • 10+ or more years’ experience administering PACS systems
  • At least 10 years’ experience maintaining and troubleshooting physical access control systems with integrated video surveillance solutions.
  • 10 or more years of professional or advanced Genetec VMS certification and administration.
  • Proven track record of advancement and success in previous roles.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training or Certification in ITSM / ITIL Framework
  • PMI PMP certified
