At PayPal Marketing, we have built an internal shared services team to help plan, execute, measure, optimize, and report digital campaigns for a variety of marketing stakeholders across the business. The Paid Channel Strategy and Optimization (PCSO) team works with a team of digital channel strategy leads (CDI), which in turn support the marketing needs of stakeholders across all LOB. The Senior Data Measurement & Media Optimization Manager will be an integral member on the PCSO team in our endeavor to collaborate with stakeholders across the business as we innovate and improve the health of digital programs. Our success will depend on strong data & analytics, tested measurement methodologies, and constantly uncovering actionable insights to assist digital media optimization.
Fr this role, we are searching for a measurement guru that has extensive experience enabling marketers to make data-driven optimization decisions. The Senior Manager will be a data practitioner and an advocate of data-driven thinking and solutions. As PayPal integrates multi-touch attribution into its operations globally, this person will play a leading role in analyzing MTA data, uncovering insights, and developing MTA optimization strategies. This candidate must have a passion for developing solutions to solve real-world business or operational challenges, and have an affinity for the proactive discovery & communication of those insights. Job Responsibilities

Develop measurement strategies for MTA, conversion-lift, halo-impact, optimization plans and general KPI considerations for launching new campaigns and improving existing core campaigns

  • Lead Paid Marketing in the analysis of multi-touch attribution, identification of MTA optimization opportunities and overarching MTA strategy
  • Partner with Paid Marketing leads in the development, execution, and analysis of statistical lift tests
  • Execute and/or oversee the execution of experiments, analyze results, and produce actionable insights for paid marketing teams
  • Partner with agency and paid channel leads on tactical-level performance, and help to translate these insights into actionable optimization plans
  • Proactively query and analyze data for actionable insights across internal and external data platforms (including Teradata, DCM, GA, Moat, and others)
  • Develop data views and visuals to assist in executive reporting and storytelling of digital channel health and performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Analytics and Data Science partners to coordinate data and analytics projects for PCSO and CDI teams
  • Building and enhancing reporting infrastructures and templated data visuals/dashboards
  • Manage junior analysts in the endeavors noted above

Required Skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in Marketing Analytics/Measurement related roles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the VIQ platform
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multi-touch attribution, and experience bridging MTA insights with actionable marketing optimization strategies
  • Proficiency in media and site analytics tools & platforms (ie. Google Analytics, DCM, AdWords, LiveRamp, Ensighten, Visual IQ)
  • DCM and general DoubleClick experience  ==> The role will spend a great deal of time compiling insights using the various reporting tools offered through DCM (or directing such work), and working with paid channel leads to translate insights into actionable optimization plans
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, testing, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques (ie. Repeated Measures ANOVA, A/B Testing, Multivariate testing, power testing, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization applications (Qlik, Tableau, Domo, etc.)
  • Demonstrated understanding of database systems/platforms, data taxonomy, data transfer
  • Demonstrated Experience with SQL, Teradata, and Tableau, and other relevant data querying languages
  • Strong background in quantitative advertising research, with solid skills in designing and analyzing complex research studies
  • Operating with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment, be able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
