Lead the development and execution of channel partner marketing programs for PayPal across the portfolio of our highest value and most developed markets.

Role purpose

This senior marketing manager role, reporting to the Director of Channel Partner Marketing, will lead marketing partnerships with a handful of our most strategic ecommerce and marketplace partners, who enable merchants to build, manage, and grow their businesses. The marketing manager will also be a critical partner to sales leaders to deliver against ambitious goals to drive merchant adoption of PayPal products within these countries. 

Success will be defined by the delivery of merchant outcomes including new merchant acquisition for PayPal, growing the value of our engaged merchants, and in growing the brand, momentum, and differentiation in these markets so PayPal is positioned as the most highly valued payments engine & growth driver for ecommerce and marketplace platform partners around the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging  partner marketing strategies across the full funnel to drive demand for our products and platform, to accelerate new merchant growth with offline and online product offerings, and to grow the value of our portfolio through strategic partner channels.

  • To develop thought leadership programs and an always on content program of information and education to support and enable merchants on partner platforms to thrive in the global, mobile digital economy.

  • To develop marketing programs for our strategic channel partners to unlock new sources of mutually beneficial value creation.

  • To support the development and localization of regional and country-based partner marketing plans to grow co-branded relevance and preference, expand distribution and product penetration and to increase market share.

  • To position PayPal as a champion for SMBs and Partners.

  • Partner effectively with internal marketing teams to deliver best-in-class marketing with and through partners. Deliver effective marketing briefs to our internal and external partners to enable co-creation of engaging marketing programs. Partner with our Performance Marketing team to move core merchant metrics across our funnels and to optimize the reach and effectiveness of our channels. Partner with go-to-market teams to operationalize the value proposition for our target segments. Partner with the Sales team to accelerate the sales pipeline through strategic partners.

Requisite Experience

  • Partner Marketing Lead 8-10+ years of marketing experience

  • Global Operator with track record in working empathetically across multiple geographies.

  • Portfolio Management has managed complex portfolios across dynamic products, segments, geographies. 

  • Growth Marketer demonstrated capabilities in developing insight led test and learn approach across end-to-end funnel for partner, merchant, and business impact.

  • Customer Champion with demonstrated track record in designing marketing solutions with merchants at the center. 

  • Winning B2B Marketing Strategies – you have implemented creative ideas in support of businesses and brands 

  • GTM programmatic execution across multiple markets with programs that have been scalable yet locally nuanced. 

  • Ecommerce or Payments experience valued

  • Demonstration of PayPal values of collaboration, innovation, wellness, and inclusion
