PayPal is looking for a Sr. Web Production Manager to join our team. This position can be located either in New York City, New York or San Jose, California.


This position requires outstanding web production expertise, superior attention to detail, a fanatical (but healthy) love of organization, and masterful communication skills (both online and off).

This is an integral position at PayPal and we are looking to fill it with a dynamic & flexible candidate: someone with a combination of business savvy, serious page building experience and a strong digital background.

To be considered successful in this role, within six months you will find yourself driving a significant number of projects to the same level of quality our stakeholders have come to expect. You will be able to articulate all key facets of our web page builder platform and internal processes. You will have established and successfully maintained close professional relationships with all key contacts and colleagues, while also having gained their trust and established your credibility.



Responsibilities:


  • Lead the implementation and delivery of NA web projects that leverage our in-house platform.

  • Partner with the Pipeline Manager and Project Managers with development insights and feasibility checks during planning phases. If necessary, monitor scope creep and re-scope. 
  • Flawlessly execute web page deliverables to support current and future business strategies.
  • Ensure web deliverables and tasks are fully aligned for optimal UX experience and SEO best practice.
  • Provide the support to content developers on any technical issues and provide appropriate action /coordination to resolve those issues while identifying templates and various techniques that evolve existing approaches. 

  • Ensure excellent site quality, anticipating problems and resolving issues quickly. Ensure all images, copy, links, etc. are functioning and rendering properly on site.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to maintain consistency of global features.
  • Streamline content submission, asset collection, and organization of digital library.
  • Ensure QA and testing processes are followed.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 8 years web experience (agency experience a plus)
  • Experience managing web ops team and direct reports
  • Deep experience with web production and using Content Management Systems

  • Self-motivated and takes initiative; can work independently on multiple projects at once and prioritize
  • Has a passion for service, agency mindset
  • Detail-oriented with a high commitment to an excellent degree of accuracy
  • Communicates proactively and effectively with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, open team environment (e.g. lots of impromptu brainstorming, frequent co-ownership on project deliverables).
  • Applicant must possess strong foundational understanding of basic web principles and code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with cross platform/browser compatibility.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a discipline emphasizing communication skills, business savvy and/or organizational know-how.

  • Marketing Technology Platforms

  • Web analytics

  • Conversion optimization

  • UX/UI or other user research
  • High tech companies, startups, Internet/software companies, and/or creative agency

  • Front end development and/or visual development
