As a champion for SMBs, the SMB Marketing Team develops and executes game-changing marketing strategies across the full funnel to drive demand for our products and platform and to grow the value of our portfolio through direct and partner channels. This team partners closely with Sales and Product to bring new products to market, improve customer experiences, and inspire customers about the potential of the PayPal platform as a growth engine for their business. The SMB Segment Marketing team plays a key role in overall SMB marketing by building holistic and scalable marketing strategies and working across the broader org to deliver business results. This includes: • Translating the value prop, messaging and roadmap from PMM into an end to end marketing plan to support SMB customer and revenue goals by product, partnership and portfolio. • Serving as the connection point with Product, Sales & SMB Strategy teams; coordinating marketing approach on all initiatives. • Developing action plans against shared goals and initiatives and communicating status and results to stakeholders. • Partnering with PMM & SMB Strategy teams on new growth strategies and ideas to reach new audiences and unlock customer growth The successful candidate must have a customer-first mindset, collaborative approach, and strong will to win.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning marketing programs for online merchants across Core Markets (US, UK, FR, IT, ES, DE, CA, AU)
  • Developing marketing plans for new product and feature launches
  • Integrating product launches into overall value proposition
  • Coordinating execution across integrated marketing, lifecycle marketing and partnership marketing teams and serving as the key liaison and reporting point for Product and Sales
  • Partnering with Marketing teams in different geographies to drive successful marketing programs optimized for each region and geography
  • Quarterbacking pilot programs to inform broader strategies.


  • 7+ years experience in strategic marketing roles
  • SMB Marketing SME; Fin-tech, e-commerce and payments understanding and experience highly valued
  • Strong commercial acumen highly valued
  • Full funnel marketing experience
  • Strong cross-functional working experience, including Product, Sales, Legal and PMM 
  • Outcomes orientation and drive for results
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Outstanding communicator
  • Track record in executing with excellence and managing the last mile
  • Brilliant collaborator and one team player
  • Self-driven and highly motivated to achieve excellence 
  • Ability to have fun while still getting stuff done!
  • MBA preferred
