You will be a leader in PayPal’s Business Analytics organization focusing on the Small Business (SB) portfolio. We focus on the success of PayPal’s organization by serving as Strategic Business Advisors to the organization and Driving Quantitative Insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the GM of SB Portfolio and his team to shape the BU strategy and the analytical framework to measure performance
  • Develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s SB business, identify business opportunities, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision making
  • Design and execute experiments, collaborate with market research, and develop financial models/trackers to identify, evaluate and prioritize opportunities
  • Lead and mentor a high performing team spread across SJ and India to execute on a wide spectrum of projects
  • Work hand in hand with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Engineering and operations
  • Be able to roll up your sleeves and work with large quantities of data by using SQL, SAS or other data and statistical tools as well as reporting tools such as Tableau. Experience building financial models and scenario planning is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize, comfort with ambiguity/context-switching, exceptional communication skills are other key skills to succeed in the role

Qualifications/Skills

  • MS/PhD or MBA from a top-tier institution is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience with SQL OR a major software engineering language (Python, C++, Java) and familiarity with reporting tools (Qlikview, Tableau) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in analytics OR a top-tier strategy consulting firm is a strong plus
