This role will serve as the Risk and Compliance primary point of contact supporting the Braintree, Hyperwallet and Merchant Product organizations and will be responsible for: • Providing guidance to business partners relating to the development of controls for critical business processes/activities to mitigate compliance/operational risk. • Supporting key risk and compliance initiatives and advising on setting the risk and compliance program management strategy. • Support business partners in the development of new products to ensure identification and mitigation of all risks and that regulatory requirements are met. • Assisting in the execution of compliance risk assessments. • Supporting ongoing and targeted compliance monitoring and/or testing. • Providing ongoing support of business unit’s issue management and remediation efforts. • Assisting with the development of SOPs and applicable policies. • Preparing periodic reports summarizing the business units’ risk and control environment. • Engaging key Risk and Compliance SMEs/program stakeholders to help support business unit initiatives and risk identification. • Leading a small team and providing day to day oversight and direction to team members. • Building strong relationships with business partners and global Risk and Compliance Officers.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

  • 7-10 years of Merchant Acquiring, Audit, Compliance, AML, Regulatory, Banking, Risk Management or similar experience.
  • Demonstrates strong and effective leadership skills and ability to operate comfortably and independently within a complex cultural, global environment.
  • Experience in managing compliance programs in the merchant acquiring and/or online payments processing businesses.
  • Knowledge of card scheme rules and regulations.
  • Possess sound judgment, flexibility and nimbleness in changing courses and solving problems swiftly.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to multitask effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, manage projects and drive/achieve results.
  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operate with strong integrity with the ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
