The person we are seeking must be self-motivated and has proven experience influencing, communicating and interacting effectively across all levels of the company, from individual business unit managers to executive management. He or she should have proven ability to build relationships/partnerships and work cross-functionally to drive key initiatives and time sensitive deliverables. He or she will be responsible for executing and managing the following areas across the Customer Experience organization:

Job Description:

Responsible for providing the frameworks, playbooks and oversight across various teams to allow for consistency and scalability of risk management practices and adoption of best practices

Global Product List: 

  • Establish and define how PayPal communicates internally and externally (customers, regulators, partners) about our products
  • Evolve the strategy and drive adoption/usage of a common, consistent framework about our products, offerings, capabilities, and features
  • Develop data maintenance strategy to ensure data is updated and current
  • Develop and manage change management process to communicate changes to the global product list/framework across the organization
  • Work with the Engineering team to developo tools and solutions to add dimensions and evolve the global product list/ framework as an open source tool with a mechanism to track the type of information being added, the source and owner
  • Be the point-of-contact for each of the workstreams and provide regular project status updates to insure stakeholders are informed
  • Mobilize the necessary resources to meet each workstream’s requirements
  • Partner with the business units to manage deliverables
  • Develop and execute the roadmap for report automation solutions

Reviews & Policies

  • Central point of contact for internal/external reviews and policies to identify the required and impacted product portfolios (e.g. regulatory reviews, Internal Audit engagements, Compliance testing & monitoring, risk assessments)
  • Work with Compliance and Internal Audit to understand scope of internal and external reviews.
  • Identify required and impacted product portfolios and engage product portfolio enterprise risk partners in internal and external reviews
  • Manage, provide and coordinate enterprise policy feedback across CE&T including product portfolio enterprise risk partners, product portfolios, and other key stakeholders
  • Manage, coordinate and provide status updates for external reviews and monthly Internal Audits

Frameworks & Playbooks: 

  • Establish, develop, document and maintain frameworks and risk management playbooks across various teams to streamline the execution of licensing needs, regulatory change and risk management and allow for consistency, scalability and best practices.
  • Work with key stakeholders to establish training and communication needed to adopt and implement frameworks and playbooks with new users

Key Initiatives:

  • Support special projects and initiatives:  special projects vary from strategic initiatives to day-to-day operations.  Support needs will vary by project and will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communications, and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

Education/Experience:

  • MS/MBA degree or equivalent and 12+ years relevant experience in payment industry, financial services, management consulting firms and/or project management or 15+ years related experience if without MS/MBA degree. 8+ years supervisory experience

  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and projects to meet timelines efficiently, to adapt to changes in priorities quickly and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously to drive projects to completion and deliver quality materials under tight deadlines
  • Ability to facilitate group discussions and run meetings
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
  • Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and settle disputes equitably
  • Ability to determine when to escalate to management and identify the right stakeholders for decision making
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with a strong ability to clearly communicate via PowerPoint documents and present information to all levels
  • Proficient with tools such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, MS Word, Excel, Access and Visio
  • Some travel may be required
