The person we are seeking must be self-motivated and has proven experience influencing, communicating and interacting effectively across all levels of the company, from individual business unit managers to executive management. He or she should have proven ability to build relationships/partnerships and work cross-functionally to drive key initiatives and time sensitive deliverables. He or she will be responsible for executing and managing the following areas across the Customer Experience organization:

  • Evolve and drive the strategy for PayPal’s Master Product List (MPL)
  • Maintain and manage the PayPal Master Product List, a comprehensive, structured inventory of products, capabilities and features that drives consistency in how we talk about PayPal products to customers, regulators, partners and internally
  • Gather and work with key stakeholders on the various use cases and how they map to the MPL
  • Develop and manage change management process to communicate changes to the MPL across the organization
  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders and build relationships at various levels of the organization to effectively manage expectations and project timelines
  • Work with Engineering team in developing tools and solutions to add dimensions and map to the MPL Framework as an open source tool with a mechanism to track the type of information being added and the owner
  • Be the point-of-contact for each of the projects and provide regular project status updates to insure stakeholders are informed
  • Mobilize the necessary resources to meet each project’s requirements
  • Partner with the business units to manage project deliverables
  • Document and maintain project related information to ensure full transparency
  • Support needs will vary by project and will require strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communications, and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Reporting
    • Develop and maintain the reporting mechanism to track all PayPal product and associated changes, working closely with the Product Risk Exam Management team
    • Ensure that all reporting procedures are maintained and updated
    • Develop and execute the roadmap for report automation solutions
  • Key Initiatives
    • Support special projects and initiatives:  special projects vary from strategic initiatives to day-to-day operations.  Support needs will vary by project and will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communications, and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

Education/Experience:

  • MS/MBA degree or equivalent and 12+ years relevant experience in payment industry, financial services, management consulting firms and/or project management or 15+ years related experience if without MS/MBA degree. 8+ years supervisory experience

  • Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
  • Well-developed sense of urgency and follow through
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and settle disputes equitably
  • Ability to determine when to escalate to management and identify the right stakeholders for decision making
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills with a strong ability to clearly communicate via PowerPoint documents and present information to all levels
  • Proficient with tools such as Power Point, Microsoft Project, MS Word, Excel, Access and Visio
  • Some travel may be required
