Lead global Marketing vendor strategy in partnership with Growth Marketing Leadership, Marketing Excellence, Procurement, Legal and Compliance teams. Engage Global Sourcing to procure and establish high quality Marketing vendors for the current and future needs of Marketing at PayPal.

  • Drive the Global Marketing vendor strategy. Work with a diverse set of Marketing stakeholders to define and design a roster of strategic vendors who provide industry leading capabilities to meet PayPal’s media, creative, operational / platform ambitions.
  • Establish a Vendor Operations team to support end to end administration tasks for all Marketers in the end to end Purchase to Pay process.
  • Ensure PayPal Marketing set the standard for best in class vendor management whilst meeting requirements in a compliant, efficient manner. Develop and embed best practices and policies throughout all interactions with our global vendor network. From the onboarding of new vendors, the establishment/maintenance of on going relationships, budget management, vendor reviews, through to offboarding.
  • Drive excellence every day with our vendors, supporting managers to build effective partnerships with clear objectives, regular reviews of performance and development roadmaps.
  • Provide support and expertise to the Third-Party Management Team to ensure all required reviews are completed in a timely manner, successfully navigating the Marketing organization to identify relationship owners where needed
  • Represent Marketing as a key point of contact for requests from business units to ensure regulatory requirements are met with regards to vendor management (e.g. 3PL Outsourcing Register). Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key partners across the business such as Finance, Procurement, Compliance & Legal

T-Profile:

Depth Type: Medium-High – Excellent Knowledge of Marketing vendor landscape, experience of building partnerships with global agencies and establishing vendor operations
Breadth Type: Medium - Good knowledge of Omni channel Digital and Non-Digital Marketing

Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years vendor management experience
  • Experience translating strategy into vendor requirements and working across multiple Regions and stakeholders
  • Global thinker able to recognise the nuances of local marketing.
  • Compliance Experience (PayPal works in a regulated industry).
  • Communication, Stakeholder Management and Clear Articulation skills.
  • Operational Data analysis skills.
  • Driving Customer Feedback Loops.
  • Internal & External learning & prototyping new ways of working.
