To support this mission, PayPal is seeking research analytics professionals to drive the Market Research team. Market Research team is accountable for guiding the Leadership & Stakeholders with actionable insights derived from Consumers and Merchants in Americas, EMEA and APAC across PayPal platforms. It supports PayPal’s executives by delivering world-class decision management solutions that provide insights on key business drivers, trends, and opportunities. The Sr. Manager, Market Research Analytics role reports directly to the Head of Market Research and is a high-impact position with global development of enterprise tools. Responsibilities include building analytical foundations for scalable solutions that are essential to decision-making with internal business partners. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for leading the global cross-enterprise products including building essential tools to enrich customer understanding. The team’s mandate includes designing new performance management solutions as well as optimizing the global portfolio of existing solutions. The role requires strong strategic and analytical skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders across geographies, businesses and functions. Additionally, the role requires the ability to drive change and innovation, as the group’s scope and mandate expand.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of SQL along with working knowledge of Tableau, Teradata, Hadoop and SAS
  • Experience in high-performing consulting, strategy, market research or analytical teams
  • Preferred analytical knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:  database driven customer segmentation, building, managing and updating large complex database systems, merging analytics data with other data sources
  • Experience in Top-tier Consulting Firm, Financial Services or Payments is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution with analytics foundation. MBA/MS is a plus.
  • Building analytical foundations for scalable solutions that are essential to decision-making
  • Develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business lines, products and geographies using survey and analytical tools including segmentation, customer surveys and other feedback tools
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify key performance metrics and build dashboards and analyses to track the progress of PayPal’s businesses and high-priority initiatives
  • Perform deep-dives to identify challenges, opportunities and specific actions required
