Reporting to the VP, People CE&T (Customer Engineering and Technology), the Sr. Manager, HR Programs will work closely with People Business Partners and their leadership teams to drive Talent programs against appropriate people priorities. The role is based in San Jose and partners with a global leadership team. Further the role is accountable for leading programs at scale, from need identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of our internal customers and in close partnership with the People Team Centers of Excellence (COE’s) and the Client teams.


Primary Job Responsibilities


  • Act as a liaison and maintain strong working relationships across the people teams including participation in meetings and calls and collaborating on L&D, Compensation and D&I initiatives
  • Be the central program owner for the key CE&T People initiatives and manage targeted programs for building tech culture, diversity initiatives, university programs/early career programs, targeted job structure initiatives, people leader effectiveness and development, talent review and management processes for the CE&T organization
  • Help execute on the people strategy by translating the high-level business strategy and building organizations, programs, and the supporting culture
  • Consolidate various Talent programs organically developed across the CE&T People, embedded client communities and help thread the programs together for re-use and scale at the CE&T level. Capture best practices from across teams and align go-forward approach (engagement, comp, learning, talent, D&I)
  • Support the org design initiatives to ensure the optimum operating model and structure and help the team scale.  Provide operational and change management support for org design and restructuring initiatives.
  • Influence the talent decisions by keeping a pulse on the business, teams and the industry.  Influence from a strategic and tactical standpoint across the business
  • Be the operational partner with the talent acquisition teams, compensation teams and the talent development teams on the talent management strategy and attract, hire, engage and retain world-class talent
  • Team SME and POC for HR tools, processes, data collection/gathering and reporting. Enable the PBPs and the business with access to the appropriate data insights and dashboards to drive the talent strategy. Analytical and critical thinking with a metrics-driven approach to solutions and the ability to leverage analytics and insights to create compelling narratives for change to gain sponsorship
  • Team oriented consensus builder who understands how to achieve buy-in from diverse constituencies, building bridges and designing “win-win” solutions across a matrix management organization.
  • Coordinate with COEs and PBPs to drive organization-specific approach, operating cadence and timelines for People programs
  • Connect the team—slack channels, offsites, communication, facilitation, consensus-building, make work FUN!

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of HR experience with HR program management experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth, organizations
  • Experience in a high profile, strategic HR role with heavy executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence
  • Depth in OD/Learning, Facilitation, Executive Recruiting and Employee Relations is desired
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven and highly motivated, with a true sense of ownership from start to finish
  • Must be extremely diligent and detail oriented
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency
  • The ability to flourish in a rapidly changing organization and operate comfortably with ambiguity and complexity.
