PayPal is currently looking for a Manager to join the EMEA Marketing and Consumer Analytics team.
The role reports to the Director of EMEA Marketing and Consumer Analytics and provides relevant exposure to senior business stakeholders in EMEA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing data-driven insights on several parts of the PayPal Consumer franchise, including but not limited to Peer to Peer payments, Product adoption and Marketing Campaign Performance readouts and optimisation, ranging across the entire EMEA region. The Manager will be responsible for delivering accurate, action driving recommendations to drive business performance and investment optimisation.
This is an individual contributor role with potential team leadership requirements on specific projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform deep dive analyses using analytical and statistical tools on very large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets
  • Go find the problem. This job is not just about receiving questions and providing answers, the Manager should be able to see problems directly via the exposure to the stakeholders and internal customers. They should also be able to find applicability and actionability to their work, influencing stakeholders to make the most out of the work analytics provides
  • Manage multiple analytical projects at a time, in a fast-paced, intense and results-oriented environment
  • Influence stakeholders to make business decisions in alignment with global measurement approaches
  • Liaise with Global Analytics to become POC for EMEA to drive alignment on adoption of Tools. The Manager will champion adoption of globally aligned and maintained tools, educating stakeholders to rely on them whenever applicable
  • Be the single analytics POC for some EMEA-wide projects, among which Peer to Peer payments (which provides direct exposure to the EMEA CMO)
Requirements
  • Be an independent thinker, able to work autonomously on projects with complexity both on the technical side and on the business implications side
  • Be a coach for younger team members, both on technical and non-technical topics
  • Capacity to influence stakeholders, maintaining the right balance of assertiveness and healthy business relationships 
  • Ability to structure complex problems in simple terms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for seeking the truth
  • Deep knowledge of statistics (multivariate statistics, regression modelling, predictive modeling, controlled test design, time-series modeling) 
  • Strong technical skills: SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Qlik
  • Fluent in English
  • Eligible to work in the UK
