The US Consumer Strategy team is responsible for creating rich, relevant marketing plans and programs that are meaningful for our consumers and impactful for our business. As a member of the team, you will be a key stakeholder in helping to accelerate consumer engagement with PayPal. This candidate will work closely with research & analytics, channel strategy teams, product marketing, product owners, our brand team, creative partners & agencies, database marketing, and campaign management. This candidate will have the ability to work with some super talented folks, materially impact our customers experience & journey with PayPal, and be part of a fun and collaborative team.

A successful candidate will have a customer-focused approach, incorporate a strategic and analytical view, integrate creativity, and be highly effective at communicating with internal and external partners. You will have strong project management skills. In this role, you will partner with diverse cross-functional teams and external agencies to strategize, execute, monitor and deliver results for PayPal marketing initiatives

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan & lead key consumer marketing campaigns within the Consumer Strategy team
  • Own the marketing and roadmap for account health, wallet expansion & optimization, and our collect & win product
  • Proactively drive execution end to end, managing roadblocks, communicating progress, coordinating meetings and communicating to keep tasks on schedule and on track.
  • Optimize and manage ongoing programs to ensure the right content is featured with relevant consumers to drive engagement
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Marketing Operations, Consumer Strategy and Product Marketing.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze campaigns with a strong testing mindset, and work with Analytics to report on performance, including email metrics and KPI’s.


  • 7-10 years’ experience in a consumer marketing role – owning marketing strategy for a brand, business unit, service, customer segment, or product.
  • Bachelor degree Required. MBA preferred
  • Ability to review KPIs & metrics on an on-going basis to analyze, draw conclusions, and recommend immediate action.
  • Ability to strike a balance between strategic thinking and hands on execution
  • Experience with marketing through multiple channels: email, social, digital, mobile, and web.
  • Understanding of the creative process. Experience in constructing strategy and creative briefs, providing feedback and delivering engaging creative with compelling stories
  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Experience in ecommerce or FinTech a plus
