As Senior Manager, EMEA Creative Editorial Strategy and Production you are a leader who is knowledgeable of brand strategy, brand newsrooms, media consumption patterns. You understand new technologies and create editorial content that drives news cycles, media conversation and engagement. You will help institutionalize content publishing as a core engine of our communications mix.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Creative Strategy and Production and based in our London office, you will help lead brand campaigns that tell our global company narrative through storytelling to our target audiences. You are an expert on content strategy, planning, execution and measurement and will work cross-functionally with our global newsroom and always-on content team. You will also help socialize employee and corporate stories externally with local communication leads and help set the strategy for partnerships with journalists and digital content platforms.


  • Working in tandem with Global Product & Partnership Communications, be responsible for helping the team develop and execute integrated communications strategies to solve product narratives for consumer comprehension and our small business solutions
  • This content will be an array of different objectives; awareness, security and consideration
  • Lead creation and delivery of compelling, original, strategy-led executive-level content for internal and external audiences and act as a primary liaison to relevant executive leaders on behalf of the broader Corporate Affairs function
  • Partnering with the Global Creative Strategy & Production team, help lead the EMEA Editorial Content plan to show, not tell our company narrative, bring products to market and share stories of our culture at PayPal
  • Develop ideas that will work across all channels: Earned (traditional earned media), Owned (newsroom, web, collateral), Paid (primarily opt-in placements and influencers) and Shared (social media channels)
  • You will also work closely with the PayPal Marketing teams on strategies and initiatives to ensure all of our work is aligned
  • Participate in team meetings, providing input and opinion into the future direction of the editorial and storytelling part of our business and taking on actions and tasks as required to help the business achieve its future objectives

You will leverage all channels to define the content roadmap, including;

  • Look for and find ways to connect content to our PayPal Newsroom with announcements and company thought leadership
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Social Media team and Global Marketing on channel planning and content amplification
  • You will need to take a brief, conceptualize an idea, work closely with an integrated, cross-functional team to develop an editorial vision, budget it and successfully demonstrate how it will work within a brand campaign

By working closely with local country communication leaders, you will;

  • Be the expert in owned channels while looking for and advising on new avenues to share and amplify compelling content
  •  Ensure the strategy is effectively executed through agency partners and internal teams and resources
  • Take the lead with team members to ensure final assets consistently answer the brief regarding audience and brand requirement

You will be responsible for setting a plan that builds our brand reputation with media and must always be helping to identify risks and opportunities and contribute to the development of short-and long-term strategies;

  • The Content journey for the target audience
  • The content needed for every phase of the journey
  • Optimal channels for the content
  • Global applicability of the content

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of editorial marketing and/or Public Relations agency experience
  • Leadership skills with experience in change management
  • Working with agency partner or agency experience
  • International orientation - experience from working in different regions.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable networking with internal stakeholders, external influencers such as journalists
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – thinks creatively and outside the box
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, with strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree in law, business administration or related field preferred
