PayPal, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager for Global Governance, Risk and Compliance (GGRC) Audits, Examinations, and Regulatory Relations (AERR) Team. The Senior Manager provides seasoned leadership and judgment in driving the ERCS exam, audit, and licensing management processes, among other activities, which are material for regulatory engagement. The position reports to the VP, AERR team and will have responsibility for exam management, audit support, licensing and project management activities.


  • Lead oversight and management of U.S. regulatory examinations and internal audits assessing the effectiveness and sustainability of the company’s risk and compliance program, including across PayPal subsidiaries
  • Drive critical licensing, audit, and exam project management processes
  • Support management and operations with problem solving on licensing, audit, and regulatory exam issues
  • Support internal audit reviews of risk and compliance program
  • Manage regulatory interaction for examinations and liaise with regulators through all phases of the exam process
  • Handle licensing and exam escalations
  • Manage exam preparation, including exam set-up and location coordination
  • Manage exam documentation gathering, review, retention and dissemination
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on exam request responses
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to source data and other requirements to fulfill examiner requests
  • Ensure timely responses to examination reports provided to regulators, as required 
  • Assist with exam remediation as necessary
  • Execute against the requirements of the global exam program
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

    Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 15 years or equivalent experience
  • JD or 8+ years compliance experience in the financial services industry, with financial services reporting experience and/or regulatory examination management experience preferred
