The PayPal Credit team is responsible for the mobile/web applications and services that provide PayPal Credit to our US and international customers. PayPal Credit is a strategic part of the PayPal business plan with important revenue-generating projects that will impact overall company performance. We are looking for iOS Software Engineer to help lead the design, development, and testing of the PayPal iOS application. We are passionate about code quality and follow our defined best practices while always searching for new, better ways to get things done. We value our ego-free code review and have continuous integration set up to test our pull requests, deliver nightly builds and run nightly regressions with our automated tests. We work closely and quickly with our design team to build, user test and iterate on new features with a customer driven focus.

Requirements:

  • Expert in designing and building iOS applications on top of RESTful services.
  • Strong fluency in Swift, with working knowledge of Objective-C.
  • Expert in design/implementation for availability, scalability and performance.
  • Confidence in advocating for and implementing iOS design patterns.
  • Ability to work with multiple partners/teams and lead projects to delivery.
  • Write unit tests not because you have to, but because you know it makes your code better.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (Jenkins), application monitoring (Crashlytics and fabric.io), mocking tools (Appium and Apiary) and Cucumber for functional tests.
  • Open to work on both iOS and Android code base.
  • Experience with Cocoa Pods and creating independent frameworks is a plus.
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired.

  • Write mobile application code following best practices of accessibility, internationalization and instrumentation.
  • Partner closely with design & product to craft great product experiences.
  • Be a crafts(wo)man and encourage code craftsmanship across team.
  • Deliver code in an agile team environment.
  • Lead code reviews to drive teams to the highest standards for building mobile apps.
  • Provide architectural leadership in product development team.
  • Drive teams to follow clean code principles.
  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
