Sr Director, Brand Experience, Innovation & Activation / Sales Enablement, Partnerships, Employee Comms You will oversee strategic development and execution of Sales Enablement, Partnership and Employee Communications activities and define how we activate them to support the Sales, Global Marketing and Employee Relations teams at PayPal. You’ll be overseeing how we develop world-class communications that are brought to life across digital, experiential, integrated media, storytelling and strategic partnerships. This role will be part of a cross-functional team focused on providing unique engagements through digital, events, content and collaborations supporting the company’s core brand value proposition of building “a fast, safe and open platform that provides greater opportunities for all.” The Brand Integration Group will translate this brand proposition into real life, tangible, and relatable experiences, turning people into PayPal fans, and PayPal customers into evangelists world-wide.


As a part of the Brand Integration Team, you will be dedicated to bringing to life our brand pillars, maintaining Sales Enablement, Global Marketing and Employee Relations Team relationships, and stewarding marketing materials and programs to:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring the brand to life through our internal relationships and external-facing partnerships.
  • Identify best-in-class brand partnerships and business opportunities that drive the brand and deliver ROI through impactful engagement, custom content, business-to-business development, social innovation, and new collaborative ventures
  • Lead all experiential & brand marketing activities, prospecting, proposal customization and presentation, contract revision and servicing, partner follow-up and support
  • Oversee creative development of our brand across merchant and consumer touchpoints that bring the brand to life and encourage action 
  • Manage multi-disciplinary agencies, activation vendors and strategic partner relationships 
  • Supervise activations and executions throughout the lifecycle across ideation to renewal  
  • Lead activation reporting and research, conducting on-going analyses to optimize partnerships
  • Develop, implement and maintain budgets for active plans
  • Inspire and lead a team of direct reports and cross-functionals in our matrixed organization structure 

Professional Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years integrated brand marketing + activation for technology with a strong focus on mobile and emerging innovation
    • An "expert" in the craft and methodologies of brand strategy and development, content creation/distribution, brand design and visual expression, integrated marketing communications and services  
    • Preferably with a mix of agency and client side 
    • Bonus if you’ve worked on global projects 
  • A brand maven 
    • A searing ambition and creative passion for the PayPal brand - which can be translated into awe - inspiring vision and purpose for the brand to engage and persuade all our audiences of PayPal's unique position in the world  
    • An impactful, inspiring story teller - comfortable in any arena evangelizing our brand mission – someone who can move people to believe in our mission, vision and values through our brand  
  • A customer champion
    • Sees it as a personal mission to be the champion of the customer and the conscience of the brand  
    • Strong affinity to the consumer tech category and/or financial services category 
  • A storyteller 
    • Proven experience in insights-based strategy development for brands from brand concepts through to brand articulation and key messaging  
    • Engaging and impactful communicator in written and spoken formats - loves to tell stories and confident addressing senior personnel with data driven and conceptual messages  
  • A collaborator 
    • Can bring out the best in agency relationships – garnering the best teams, building highly engaging relationships and delivering great results with a keen eye on costs  
    • Team player across functions and borders - collaborative, consultative, collegiate, someone who builds answers and outcomes with their stakeholders and "customers"  
  • A self motivator 
    • Self-driven, loads of initiative, resourceful - generally very focused on getting to "yes" and getting to "do"  Impeccable attention to detail, very high-quality standards and robust principles when it comes to brand integrity and acting against insights - can defend the customers wishes and hopes within logical, engineering-based environments and will always fight for the standards that our brand deserves
