As a Senior Director of the Identity Platform Product Team, you will be responsible for strategizing, designing, creating, and launching a world-class identity platform for 300M+ consumers and 25M+ merchants across the globe and supporting and connecting all the PayPal adjacencies and future acquisitions on the identity platform securely and effortlessly. You will lead the Identity product team to design and transform the Identity platform to the best-in-class Identity platform striving to provide customers secure and frictionless access to all PayPal products and connect customers effortlessly. This is a high visibility role with significant impact. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in setting and driving strategy with senior leadership and building consensus, translating strategy into execution plans to meet business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, lead, and drive ambitious and clear product vision and product strategy for Identity Platform and communicate 'the story' effectively to critical stakeholders and the rest of the team.
  • Recruit, motivate, inspire, mentor, and provide leadership to a geographically distributed team.
  • Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills convey important messages clearly and compellingly.
  • Develops loyalty and commitment in others by communicating clear expectations, developing and mentoring direct reports, and setting an example in their behavior.
  • Develop, manage & communicate product roadmap to customers, prospects, and all internal key stakeholders.
  • Lead from the front in defining measurable goals, objectives, and identity platform metrics and solutions by partnering closely with the Product Analytics team.
  • Own the success of PayPal Identity developer experiences for our customers and drive our developer experience towards the modern vision and fast time-to-market.
  • Mentor and build a global and high-performance team by providing useful, timely feedback and learning opportunities.
  • Synthesize short- and long-term product ideas from cross-functional teams across Information security, Identity, Risk, Compliance, Customer Service, Branded Experiences, and Omni Payments teams focusing on building a cutting edge and massively scalable platform to delight customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to solve problems and deliver high-quality business solutions and products, including One Identity platform capabilities.
  • Evangelize a product to teams, partners, users of our platforms, the team's objectives, and wins to influence peers and senior management.
  • Be a customer champion who understands end-user problems and competitive and market trends in the Identity space.
  • Transform Identity Platform to be the best in a class by working with partners and constantly innovating on APIs, platform, web (desktop/mobile), and native apps (iOS and Android).
  • Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, results-based team environment.
  • Push the team to develop the experimental mindset to drive innovation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or closely related discipline
  • 15+ years of experience in product management with at least 10+ years of direct senior leadership experience
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage a large, diverse set of to-do – vigorously prioritize, stay on top of multiple workstreams, monitor progress, hold owners accountable
  • Expertise in Identity Management experience and latest insights and intelligence in digital identity management space including - Single Sign-On, Identity Federation, Consumer Identity, and Multi-Factor Authentication - Identity Governance and Administration, User Provisioning, Access Certification, Identity Analytics, Role-Based Access Control - Privileged Access Management, password management, encryption, two factor authentication, Biometrics, WebAuthN and FIDO standards, risk based authentication and strong customer authentication.
  • Ability to set a vision, design highly scalable and reliable platform, and think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment using a data-driven and analytical approach.
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, independence, and drive. Proven track record of getting things done, managing multiple tasks, including communication with internal and external teams while consistently delivering on schedule.
  • Ability to establish and lead global and high performing team and manage multiple complex projects across cross-functional, distributed teams and multiple client groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and proven ability to influence senior management (Director, VP+) across different organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation of concepts with collateral (slides, white papers and documents) with a clear storyline and narrative.
  • Ability to influence both Product and Engineering teams outside of their own organization.
  • Working knowledge of all critical areas of Information Security and Risk and a proven experience designing and/or implementing security solutions.
  • Active participation in standards bodies and/or publications is desired.
