Braintree is looking for an outstanding Marketing leader to join the organization. Since being acquired by PayPal Inc in 2013, the Braintree Marketing team has grown significantly and has had the privilege of shaping and telling the Braintree story to small, mid-market and enterprise next generation businesses around the world.

The Sr Marketing Director will be responsible for leading the global Marketing Team and driving all aspects of the marketing mix in pursuit of accelerating Braintree’s market share, product adoption and merchant retention. The ideal candidate is a vibrant, commercially astute leader, equal parts creative and analytical, who shines in a high paced, highly collaborative and technical environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver vision, energy and ideas in shaping marketing’s role to accelerate Braintree’s future growth
  • Champion the Braintree brand, it’s strategy and future development across PayPal Inc
  • Develop and lead global marketing strategy and tactics across all owned, earned and paid
  • channels that meet and exceed business metrics
  • Partner with sales to develop and execute inventive, engaging and effective account based
  • marketing plans and scalable lead generation programs
  • Partner with cross functional leaders in sales, biz dev, operations and product to drive
  • compelling storytelling and world class sales enablement tools
  • Own accountability for delivery of plans and attainment of all financial and non-financial metrics
  • Contribute to building a high-performance marketing team renown for accountability,
  • executional excellence, business impact and teamwork
  • Manage, mentor and inspire the Marketing Team to achieve their goals, develop, learn and grow
  • as marketers at PayPal Inc
  • Navigate, nurture and leverage global relationships across PayPal Inc
  • Play a leadership role within the Braintree Leadership Team and PayPal’s Global Marketing
  • Team.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years Marketing Experience (preferably B2B marketing in technology, banking or payments industries)
  • 5+ years leading marketing organizations
  • Successful track record in delivering strong business results
  • Successful track record in hiring, developing and nurturing top marketing talent
  • Strong relationship builder, great communicator and strong influencer
  • Experience driving successful outcomes in a matrixed global organization
  • Experience with organizational change management
  • Relentless in delivering world class marketing
  • Bachelor and above Degree Qualified
