A new opportunity for a Senior Business Developer Mobility (f/m) in a growing team.

A typical day for the Senior Business Developer Mobility will include:

  • Key driver of the DE/AT/CH New Commerce team.

  • Generating sustainable revenue and new customer growth from non-ecommerce use cases, by identifying and piloting new use cases and verticals.

  • Providing new approaches, out-of-the box thinking and an interest in new technology to acquire new verticals.

  • It will feel like managing your own startup, but with the power and complexity of a strong, industry leading company behind you.


What does Success Look Like?  

  • You positioned yourself as the business owner of dedicated new verticals for PayPal around the mobility sector, such as Public Transport or in-Car commerce use cases.

  • You have end-to-end responsibility for piloting and scaling your respective verticals.

  • You engaged with external merchants and partners from the mobility sector, including the strong German car manufacturer base and Public transport players in order to achieve scale.

  • You have received support by a strong cross-functional team of PayPal experts; the sales teams to handle individual merchants’ sales pitches, solution architects to design and implement the technical details and Co-Marketers to drive additional volume into the use case etc.

  • You led the effort to set PayPal up internally for success in your vertical. You worked on questions like: What does pricing strategy for the vertical look like? Do we need to change onboarding processes? What product changes do we need?  Answering these questions requires you to work with stakeholders across Europe and globally.

  • You developed your verticals to the stage of maturity, where the core teams handled them. After the handover, you took on new verticals to pilot.


About You  

  • You have existing Business Development, Key Account or Sales experience in a B2B context. Ideally, you have a background in the car / mobility sector.

  • You have uncompromising diligence and reliability towards external and internal stakeholders.

  • You are committed to delivering excellent work as part of an excellent team.

  • You can identify and consequently address needle-movers, to have a relevant impact on revenue growth.

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills to work in a cross-functional team in a matrix organization with international focus.

  • You have proven project management skills to drive large projects.

  • You are fluent in German and English.

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience.

  • You have a Bachelors/Masters Degree or Equivalent.

  • You have the ability to build effective working relationships with external partners and internal customers.

  • You thrive in an environment of continuous change, ambiguity and complexity.
