For this role, we’re recruiting for a US Senior Benefits Program Manager. The Senior Program Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for the overall administration of the U.S. benefit programs. The ideal candidate has a broad benefits background with strong expertise administering company health and welfare plans, including 401(k) plans and Time Off programs, while demonstrating success managing multiple vendors. This role will provide support in the strategy development of overall benefits programs as well as deliver effective communications, best in class administration/operational excellence while ensuring programs are compliant. Reporting to the Director of Americas Benefits, this role is a thought partner within the overall team, sharing subject matter expertise. Supporting the evolution and integration of PayPal’s core values which includes programs to help employees achieve their personal health, emotional and financial objectives, is also an important function of all Benefit team members. What you’ll do: • Serve as an expert on all PayPal US Benefit Programs, while helping to manage various US programs such as the US 401(k) plan, Time Off Programs, Health and Welfare benefits and Additional Benefit programs, with potential for global benefits management supporting Canada and Latin America. • Support M & A due diligence and company integrations while delivering an exceptional employee experience • Complete surveys, host employee focus groups and conduct benchmarking analysis to ensure PayPal Benefit programs are aligned with the competitive market • Work closely with peers in the regions to help manage the consistency of our Benefits philosophy across the globe. • Drive change through effective program management, while driving employee engagement and delivering effective Benefit communications. • Build and maintain relationships with key internal contacts such as Payroll, People Technology and MyHR, other internal groups such as Unity, Pride and Serve and develop and maintain relationships with counterparts within the Silicon Valley Employers Forum and other high-tech peers. • Demonstrate an ability to solve complex problems; lead cross-organizational efforts; build relationships across organization boundaries; commitment to quality and continuous improvement; detail oriented; recognized as subject matter expert. What you should be really good at: • Vendor management and accountability • Writing and delivering communications in an easy to understand dynamic, not “insurance speak” • Building relationships at all levels; including internal partners and managing vendor partners • Being innovative - Doing what’s never been done before • Managing multiple priorities while having fun • Understanding end-to-end process and impact to employee experience Qualities of the right candidate for this role: • 8+ years of US Benefits experience ideally in a high-growth, scaling, technology environment. • International benefits experience preferred • Experience with global/multi-national and matrixed organizations • A strong understanding of US best practices, current trends, and market benchmarks. • Project leadership and process improvement background • Demonstrated ability to use sound business judgement when collaborating with stakeholders. • Proven analytical skills and a keen eye for detail • Proven ability to execute processes accurately and on time • Possess a creative approach to problem solving • Independently manage benefit service providers • A deep commitment to excellent customer service, empathy, and discretion. • The ability to communicate across diverse groups with clear, approachable, and friendly style • Experience using Workday (or equivalent systems) to administer benefits. • Flexibility, resiliency, speed and grace under pressure. • Generate, articulate and implement new ideas that will improve the employee experience • Position requires understanding of PayPal’s global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting PayPal’s core values. • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related field, required

Reporting to the Senior Manager, US Benefits & Wellness, the Sr. Benefits Program Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of various PayPal employee benefit plans, including health and welfare, wellness, retirement and time off programs. The Program Manager will ensure the plans and programs maintain compliance with legal requirements and will provide plan interpretation and problem resolution. This role will also assist with benefits integration related to mergers and acquisitions.
