The Consumer Credit Solutions Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for new consumer lending products and market expansion, leveraging PayPal’s unique ecosystem and technology platforms. This role requires exceptional product, process, relationship management, and communication skills. This person will have a proven track record scoping and building products and experiences for consumer technology applications, and ideally for consumer financial services.


  • Conduct market, customer and competitive research to understand market needs; identify opportunities for PayPal to create market-leading solutions that will delight our customers (both consumers and merchants) and grow our business
  • Partner with our global and in-market business development teams to initiate and further define partnership opportunities, taking into account market needs, regulatory and risk considerations, financial return, etc.
  • Develop product concepts and customer journeys based on a detailed understanding of PayPal’s products and technical capabilities (and the partner’s, if applicable); ensure that the plan takes greatest advantage of existing components and minimizes custom development
  • Test these products with customers throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Work as a key member of our cross-functional expansion team to have initiatives and investments approved; upon approval, define and document detailed business requirements
  • Ensure that, as business requirements are translated to product and technical requirements, the product continues to meet market needs and appropriate trade-offs are made throughout the development cycle


  • 4+ years of software product management, product marketing, or launch management experience
  • Successful track record or working and collaborating as a team, and across multiple stakeholders and geographies, to deliver project outcomes
  • Knowledgeable in technology with the ability to get up to speed on PayPal’s product suite quickly
  • Ability to work well individually and within a cross functional team and demonstrated experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Knowledge in customer driven innovation is preferred, or ability to get up to speed quickly on the process and various research methodologies
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit with a “hands on” approach
  • Clear, strategic thinker with vision, with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
