Primary Job Responsibilities • Work closely with customers of the security engineering team in supporting and debugging encryption and key management products leveraging cutting-edge PayPal security technologies • Seek out opportunities to develop and improve existing automation processes • Develop and improve existing security engineering products • Troubleshoot and debug issues, with a willingness to resolve problems • Collect and report on operational metrics for SLA reporting and capacity planning • Collaborate with other groups by seeking, using and giving feedback

Education and Experience

•         Bachelors in computer science with 5+ years of experience or Masters in computer science and 3+ years of experience in the industry;

•         Knowledge of Cryptography a must

•         Good experience in Python and Unix Shell Scripting

•         Experience as a developer (e.g. Java, Python, Perl, SQL)

•         Experience with task automation using open source, customized scripts, and/or off-the shelf tools

•         Experience in performing operational activities or DevOps a plus

•         Working knowledge of Linux, Git, Jenkins, Docker, JUnit, Maven
