A typical day for Software Integration Developer will include:

PayPal is looking for a passionate, self-driven security automation engineer who can work as part of a team to deliver automated security mitigation and orchestration capabilities as part of PayPal’s Cybersecurity Operations. The candidate will be expected to quickly become a contributing and effective member within the automation team after a reasonable amount of ramp-up time; leaving plenty of time to get familiar with the systems and our organizations own adoption of certain technologies.

About You

  • 5+ years development experience and/or equivalent education.
  • Participation in design, development, implementation, and testing of technical systems. 
  • Previous experience with Node.js, Python, and/or Java development in a Linux based environment. 
  • Comfortable with RESTful Web Service design and function.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a team environment.
  • Self-starter who is able to cope with ambiguity.
  • Able to own and drive work effectively, communicating within the team and outside the team to understand dependencies and deliver working code.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Java based integration frameworks such as Mule ESB, Spring Integration, or Apache Camel.
  • Experience with AMQ, Kafka, or Redis.
  • Quality minded with a strong understanding of writing good test cases.
  • Previous experience developing solutions within a cybersecurity organization.
