We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who is experienced in scaling large scale distributed systems and building high performing teams. Responsibilities:
  • You are a hands-on technical lead. You code and lead by example.
  • You drive technical conversations and participate in architectural decision-making. You lead code reviews.
  • You can drive change. You are passionate about driving both technology & infrastructure changes as well as cultural changes
  • You foster innovation. You are always thinking about and championing new ideas and innovations around product, process and people.
  • You collaborate with cross functional engineering, product and global teams to evolve the platform and product
  • You look for continuous improvements in productivity and quality
  • You strive to bring consistency in practices and processes across the multi-tiered architecture
  • You spend time and effort hiring top talent, coaching and developing people to bring out best
Requirements:
  • 8+ years software development experience building scalable web application and service oriented architectures
  • 3+ years of technical leadership and architectural guidance 
  • Practical experience in hiring, mentoring and developing engineers
  • Proficient in backend programming languages and frameworks - Java/JEE/Spring/Hibernate/JPA/JAX-RS/JMS
  • Solid knowledge of design patterns and engineering best practices
  • Proficient in modern database/storage technologies
  • Proficient in current unit testing and automated functional testing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs
  • Competent in design/implementation for reliability, availability, scalability and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to grasp and convey complex product requirements or technical concepts
  • MS in Computer Science, Engineering or BS with equivalent work experience.
