The candidate will be responsible for verifying PayPal Risk business logic in complex software system that handles high-volume transactions for Risk detection, prevention and mitigation purpose. Primary job responsibilities include: Work closely with partners in development, QA, product management and business teams to review technical solutions for PayPal Risk business, troubleshoot and solve complex software engineering problems.Perform business monitoring and data analysis in Big Data environment.Proactively propose business requirement and possible solutions to address technical issues.Create standards, build processes and develop automation and monitoring tools for Risk certification purpose.Provide technical leadership and mentor junior members of the team.Work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones.Provide on-call support periodically and as needed.

  • Experience in design and implementation of enterprise level software applications.
  • Knowledge of payment system.
  • Knowledge of Rules Engine technology
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system.
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills in Java and C++.
  • Knowledge of scripting language such as Python, PHP and Perl.
  • Experience in developing application using RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of online/offline risk management.
  • 3+ years of technical experience.
