Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain high-scalable MVC Web Apps 
  • Deliver software development tasks efficiently and with high quality
  • Produce well-tested code through the use of automated, unit, and integration tests
  • Participates in feature code reviews as requested
  • Refactor legacy code to make it more efficient and in line with current standards to deliver stable and robust applications to meet the needs of our growing business.
  • Help identify and fix errors, performance, scalability, and any other issues in a business-critical environment
  • Optimize the overall User Experience and performance of the system

Requirements 

  • 4+ years of professional experience in HTML, JS, and CSS development.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in object-oriented design and development, preferably in Java.
  • Experience working with web-services (micro-services, RESTful APIs, etc.)
  • Some understanding of Unix/Linux.
  • Some understanding of NodeJs.
  • Must be fluent in written, verbal English in a professional environment
  • Good attitude and communication.
  • Experience with git workflow in collaborative projects.
  • Ability to work in a small, closely-knit team using agile methodologies.
  • Work with other engineers, managers, QA, and operations to ensure that our financial systems meet our reliability, accuracy, and performance goals.

Desired but not required to have experience with the following

  • React.
  • Experience with Freemarker or another template framework.
  • Spring Framework.
  • Continuous integration (Jenkins).
  • Application containerization (Docker).
  • Project management software (Jira).
  • TDD/BDD tools.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
