This is an entry level software engineer role within Decision Technology & Analytics/DTA of DAMA org, located in San Jose. DTA manages PayPal's decision platform, Pluto, provide all the decision related services including rules management, decision monitoring/alerting/reporting/analysis, decision integration, etc. for Risk, Compliance, Credit & Global Operations.

The candidate is expected to participate in software development that is related to PayPal’s decision platform (Pluto) and supporting PayPal business to make correct and timely decisions to better serve our customers.

Primary responsibility includes but not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with partners in development, product management and business teams to review technical solutions, troubleshoot and solve complex business problems.
  • Perform data analysis and monitoring in Big Data environment to validate data and decision quality.
  • Proactively propose business requirement and possible solutions to address business and technical issues.
  • Create standards, build processes and develop automation tools for efficient business management.
  • Work effectively with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones.
  • Provide on-call support periodically and as needed.
  • 2+ years of IT Expereince
