Software Engineer 2, SiteBots platform development team.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The SRE SiteBots Product Development team is responsible for the creation and delivery of a world-class platform to detect and auto-remediate application issues to minimize and eliminate customer impact. As Software Engineer on the SiteBots team you will be a member of an Agile software development scrum team. While working in an agile fashion to deliver on these intern project(s), you will be adhering to a rigorous peer-review process to ensure high-quality and robust designs, code, and unit tests. This is a truly unique and exciting opportunity to not only help develop a new, innovative test system, but to also develop a deeper knowledge of PayPal’s products.

You will have a passion for doing the right thing; will behave with customer/company/team in mind always; and will be tenacious in delivering high-quality solutions in a timely fashion.

General Job Requirements:

  • Working toward Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or relevant equivalent industry experience)
  • Must have a customer focus and commitment to quality
  • Must be a team player and work collaboratively with others – Agile software development experience a plus
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to appropriately prioritize
  • Strong clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Software development lifecycle skills
  • Unit testing experience a plus
  • Java programming skills
  • Node.js & Angular js programming skills a plus
  • Various scripting language experience desirable (such as Python; Perl; shell)
  • TestNG or other test orchestration tools experience a plus
  • Experience working with Relational (such as Oracle or MySQL) and Non-Relational Databases (such as Mongo, Cassandra, and/or Riak) a plus
  • Experience in financial and payment systems a plus
