Partner closely with other Product Managers to understand new product offerings being built, and work with analysts to recommend the right metrics to measure performance of those features Collaborate closely with engineering teams, provide ongoing support to help instrument tracking elements Design, develop, test, and debug large scale complex platform using big data technologies. Create high performance client side applications powering PayPal's commerce platform. Develop web applications and tools for the effective management and operation of PayPal’s big data platform. Analyze and improve stability, efficiency, and scalability of the platform. Collaborate with data platform teams to build/enhance necessary data platforms to provide metrics & business insights and in building alerts to monitor those metrics Develop a strong understanding of the PayPal tracking infrastructure; Identify and act upon opportunities for simplicity, consistency and re-usability of tracking code

  • Design, develop, enhance and support services across every interaction between PayPal and its users and partners. 
  • Develop and test core risk application services and state of art monitoring systems for enterprise Risk Platform. 
  • Architect, design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions.  
  • Solve large scale highly complex computer engineering problems, in a repeatable and maintainable way. 
  • Integrate data with various other APIs in real time, and provide high availability and configurability.
  • Build strong competencies in data structures and algorithms with a deep understanding of business processes.
  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and one (1) year experience  in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in the field of software quality assurance or software engineering or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software quality assurance or software engineering. (6) At least 2-3 years of experience working with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Elastic search, Kafka, etc

  • Java; Javascript; UNIX/Linux; Windows environments; APIs; HTTP; HTML/DOM; CSS; AJAX; Continuous Integration; test automation frameworks; NLP; Object Oriented Design Principles; and DBMS/SQL.  Any suitable combination of education, training and experience.
